The Morale Dept. continues their nesting doll metaphor and present a two week residency within a residency with our friend, Michelle Ott.

The Karman Line, generally considered the place where outer space begins, is 62 miles straight above us, if you are standing on earth.  Antarctica is  9,684  miles  away from Portland, Oregon. This means that  Outer Space is Closer Than Antarctica! Michelle Ott’s enthusiasm for knowledge comes to life in this exhibition of black and white illustrations based on basic science principles, geographic terminology, and data sets relevant to Antarctica and Antarctic ice research projects.
